PICTOPLASMA x CPH is an electrifying festival and conference at the crossroads of contemporary art, design, illustration, and animation. It’s a celebration of visual storytelling, where imagination takes center stage, and characters come to life!

PICTOPLASMA x CPH aims to create a hub for Scandinavian artists, designers, and animators to showcase their work, share ideas and build a community around their passion. More than an event, it’s a playground for creativity. From illustration to animation, game design to interactive experiences, and urban to graphic arts, we encourage interdisciplinary conversations to push the boundaries and shape the future of character-driven storytelling.

PICTOPLASMA x CPH is organized by Maïlys Mï with the support of PICTOPLASMA.

Animation Submissions

ARE YOU BASED IN SCANDINAVIA?

Submit your character-driven animated short films, music videos of experimental work to Pictoplasma x CPH!

All animated short films (experimental, narrative, non-narrative, commissioned, or student films) will be considered for the 2nd Pictoplasma x CPH festival selection. There is no submission fee.

Please send your submissions via download link to hello@cph-pictoplasma.com by the 13th of May 2026, as Full HD Quicktime (ProRes 422 HQ or H.264 codec). The average length of animation entries considered for the official festival selection is between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Each submitted film MUST be accompanied by the entry form bellow.
